Method for breakdown and withstand voltage testing of insulating oil dielectric

Insulation oil dielectric strength tester breakdown test

After entering the breakdown test, the instrument displays the breakdown test operation interface. The operation method for the breakdown test is:

(1) Set experimental parameters, including oil grade, initial settling time, number of tests, settling time, and stirring time. The range of initial settling time is 0 seconds to 9 minutes and 59 seconds, the range of settling time is 0 seconds to 9 minutes and 59 seconds, and the range of stirring time is 0 seconds to 59 seconds.

(2) Choose to start the test, enter the test screen, click on Run, and the insulation oil dielectric strength tester will cycle in the order of first boosting to breakdown, stirring, standing, and then boosting to breakdown until the set number of tests is reached. The buzzer will sound and the test will stop.

(3) After the breakdown test is completed, the display screen of the instrument is shown in Figure 5, and the displayed test results include the breakdown voltage, average breakdown voltage, and test parameter settings.

(4) Operators can also save and print the test results as needed.

Attention:

(1) During the experiment, if the high-voltage compartment is opened, the insulation oil dielectric strength tester will automatically alarm, reminding the user that the high-voltage compartment has been opened.

(2) If the device is accidentally shut down during the experiment, it will continue with the unfinished experiment from the last time when it is restarted.

(3) After the instrument is powered on, there is a high voltage output. It is strictly prohibited to open the high voltage chamber.

Insulation oil dielectric strength tester withstand voltage test

After entering the withstand voltage test, the instrument displays the withstand voltage test interface. The operation method for the withstand voltage test is:

(1) Set experimental parameters, including setting voltage and withstand voltage time.

(2) Choose to start the test, enter the voltage withstand test screen, click on the run button, and the insulation oil dielectric strength tester will first increase the voltage to the voltage withstand value. If breakdown occurs during the increase in voltage, the test will end directly. If no breakdown occurs during the increase in voltage to the voltage withstand value, the voltage will remain at the voltage withstand value for the set time.

(3) After the withstand voltage test is completed, the display screen of the instrument is shown in Figure 7, and the displayed test results include the withstand voltage value, withstand voltage time, and test results (qualified/unqualified).

(4) Operators can also save and print the test results as needed.

Attention:

(1) During the experiment, if the high-pressure chamber is opened, the instrument will automatically alarm and prompt the user that the high-pressure chamber has been opened

(2) If the machine is accidentally shut down during the test, the insulation oil dielectric strength tester will continue with the unfinished test from the previous time when it is restarted.

(3) After the instrument is powered on, there is a high voltage output. It is strictly prohibited to open the high voltage chamber.
