High voltage phase detector Method of operation

I. Check before use

1. Self-test to distinguish whether the phase instrument is good, the method is as follows:

First insert the test line into the socket of the FRD phase detector meter, and insert the other side into the 220V AC voltage. If there are three reactions, it means that it is good; if there is no reaction, it means that there is a problem.

2. Use a multimeter to check if the test line is turned on.

3. Use a multimeter or a shaker to check whether the resistance of the attenuation component meets Table 3.

If the above method detects that the phase detector meter is normal, it can be officially used. If you already know that the FRD phase meter is normal, you can use it directly without testing. If there is no sound or the sound is too small during the test, which means the battery voltage is insufficient. The battery should be replaced. Open the outer case and replace it with a new 9V battery. 

II. Check before phase detection 

Before formal phase detection, the phase detector should be tested in the same grid system. One person should touch the one rod with one of the conductors, and the other person should contact the conductors in the same grid. The different functional phases have three reactions, and there are no reactions in the same phase. Then you can test the phase. 

III. Phase detection operation

1. The phase detection operation should be carried out by three people, and the two operate one person for supervision. And it must be operated phase by step, record one by one, and determine whether it is same phase according to the “three yes and three no”. Phase operation must carefully implement the rules and regulations established by our company.

2. Special attention is given to the fact that the human body must not disarm the phase instrument and the high voltage connection during operation. The human body and phase instrument should maintain 2.1m safety distance.(Put the phase meter on the top of the second connecting rod), the grounding wire should be reliably grounded. At the same time, the human body and the high voltage connection must also maintain a sufficient safety distance (2.1m) (Please operate the phase detection according to the requirements of the phaser test operating procedures). The test line connecting the two test rods is a normal 220V wire. During the phase detection, the human body must not release the wire at a close distance. When using, the remaining wire should be tied to the first test pole with the cable tie, and there must be sufficient safety distance from the human body (Please refer to the high voltage electrical operation procedure), and the high voltage connection should not be in contact with the earth.
