ZXBXZ Resonant Test System for CVT: Technical Overview

The ZBXZ Resonant Test System is designed for on-site testing of Capacitive Voltage Transformers (CVTs) rated up to 500kV. Utilizing a series resonant principle, the system provides a reliable, efficient, and safe method for performing dielectric withstand and partial discharge tests on high-voltage capacitive equipment.

System Features

1.High-Quality Output Waveform
The system generates an AC test voltage with minimal distortion (<0.5%), ensuring accurate and stable testing conditions essential for precise insulation assessment.

2.Low Capacitance Requirement
Thanks to the resonant topology, the required input capacitance is significantly reduced—only 1/Q of the test object’s capacitance, where Q ranges from 20 to 60. This greatly enhances the system’s applicability in field environments with limited power supply capacity.

3.Inherent Short-Circuit Protection
In the event of a breakdown in the test object, the system detunes automatically, causing the resonant boost voltage to collapse. The reactor immediately limits the fault current, preventing further damage to the equipment under test and eliminating the need for additional overcurrent protection.

4.Portable and Integrated Design
The system is a dry-type, integrated assembly consisting of an excitation transformer and multiple resonant reactors. Compact and lightweight, it is well-suited for transportation and deployment in on-site testing scenarios.

5.Comprehensive Safety Protections
Multiple protection features are integrated, including zero-position start prevention, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, and flashover protection, ensuring operational safety and system reliability.
