What kinds of partial discharge detection methods are there?
After understanding the basic concept of partial discharge detection of high-voltage switchgear, GDZX will check the discharge detection methods of high-voltage switchgear.
First, Ultrasonic Testing
The ultrasonic detection method is to judge the position and distance generated by the partial discharge by listening to the sound, and realize the monitoring of the electric discharge. It is one of the methods in the field of preventive maintenance. Ultrasonic testing is less subject to electrical interference and is widely used in partial discharge positioning.
Second, Chemical Detection Method
The chemical detection method means that when a partial discharge occurs in the transformer, various insulating materials are decomposed and destroyed, and a new product is generated. By detecting the composition and concentration of the product, the state of the partial discharge can be judged. At present, chemical detection methods have been widely used in online fault diagnosis of transformers. The type of fault is different, the degree of fault is also different, and the composition and concentration of the gas are also different. The pattern recognition system thus established can realize automatic fault recognition. But until now, there has still not been a unified standard of judgment. Because it is sensitive to the detection of early latent faults, it does not reflect sudden failures.
Third, UHF Partial Discharge Detection
Traditional detection methods have shortcomings or defects, and a new detection method, UHF detection, has emerged. Ultra-high frequency (300-3000MHZ) electrical signals generated by transformer partial discharge realize the detection and location of partial insulation discharge of power transformer, and realize anti-interference.
