What Are The Methods Of PD Detection?

Time:2020-06-01 Number:12

After understanding the basic concept of partial discharge detection of high-voltage switchgear, GDZX will check for you what kinds of discharge detection methods are available for high-voltage switchgear.

I Ultrasonic examination

Ultrasonic detection is to judge the position and distance of PD by listening to the sound, and to realize the monitoring of PD. It is one of the methods in the field of preventive maintenance. The ultrasonic detection method is widely used in PD location because of its small electrical interference.

II Chemical detection

Chemical detection means that when partial discharge occurs in the transformer, all kinds of insulation materials will break down and produce new products. By detecting the composition and concentration of the products, the state of partial discharge can be judged. At present, chemical detection method has been widely used in on-line fault diagnosis of transformer. The fault types are different, the fault degrees are different, and the composition and concentration of gas are different, so the pattern recognition system can realize the automatic fault recognition. But up to now, there is no unified judgment standard. Because it is sensitive to detect the early latent fault, but it can not reflect the sudden fault.

III High frequency partial discharge detection

The traditional detection method has some shortcomings, and then a new detection method, high frequency detection appears. The high frequency (300-3000mhz) electric signal generated by partial discharge of transformer realizes the detection and location of partial insulation discharge of power transformer, and realizes anti-interference.
