2024 World Intelligent Industry Expo Achieves 100% Green Electricity Guarantee

Recently, with the help of the Tianjin Green Power Certificate Service Center, the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) successfully completed 500 green power certificate transactions through the green power certificate trading system, equivalent to 500000 kilowatt hours of green electricity. The National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin) is the venue for the 2024 World Intelligent Industry Expo, and these green electricity will be used to achieve 100% green electricity guarantee for the Expo。

The first 2024 World Intelligent Industry Expo, jointly organized by Tianjin and Chongqing, will be held in Tianjin from June 20th to 23rd. The Expo, with the theme of "Intelligent Action for the Future", aims to create a high-end event that leads the development trend of intelligent technology.

The green power certificate is an electronic certificate issued by the state to power generation enterprises for each megawatt hour of renewable energy grid connected electricity, with a unique code identification. One green certificate unit corresponds to 1000 kilowatt hours of renewable energy electricity. With the support of the Organizing Committee of the 2024 World Intelligent Industry Expo, the Tianjin Green Electricity Green Certificate Service Center actively connects with new energy power generation enterprises and serves venue parties to complete the registration of green certificate subjects. At the same time, referring to the estimated green certificate trading volume of venue electricity consumption during the previous World Intelligent Conference, to ensure the smooth completion of this green certificate trading and ensure 100% green electricity coverage of the venue.

The green electricity for the green certificate subscription at this venue will be produced locally in Tianjin. The green certificate clearly indicates that the green electricity comes from the salt light complementary project - Huadian Tianjin Haijing 1 million kilowatt salt light complementary power station.

Data shows that from 2021 to 2023, the annual green electricity trading volume in Tianjin increased from 12 million kilowatt hours to 1.83 billion kilowatt hours, and is expected to exceed 6 billion kilowatt hours in 2024. At present, more than 700 enterprises in Tianjin have participated in green electricity trading, purchasing 5.452 billion kilowatt hours of green electricity from new energy generation enterprises, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 4.34 million tons.

Green certificate trading is not only a trading behavior, but also a social responsibility and responsibility, which increases economic benefits for new energy production enterprises and promotes the sustainable and healthy development of green transformation for electricity consuming enterprises.
