Continuous heavy rainfall in Guangdong has caused localized floods. At present, the level III emergency response for wind and flood prevention in Guangdong Power Grid of China Southern Power Grid and the level I emergency response of Guangdong Meizhou Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid are ongoing. Guangdong Power Grid has dispatched a total of 5575 repair personnel, 1709 repair vehicles, and 44 emergency power generation vehicles to carry out emergency repairs and power restoration.
Starting from 18:00 on June 16th, the road to Sishui Town in Pingyuan County, Meizhou, and the mobile public network signal of the entire town were all interrupted, becoming a transportation and communication isolated island. Southern Power Grid Meizhou Power Supply Bureau of Guangdong Province fully supports the emergency repair of public network communication in Sishui Town by utilizing power dedicated communication fiber optic cable resources.

On June 18th, the communication and emergency repair team of Meizhou Power Supply Bureau departed in two groups carrying relevant emergency supplies. One group was responsible for the jump connection debugging on the 110kV Dongshi substation side, and the other group was responsible for the jump connection debugging on the 35kV Sishui substation side. The group members took a government helicopter to enter Sishui Town. Due to some roads being washed away by landslides, the group walked for another half hour through a riverside path to enter the Sishui substation.
The power supply department and China Mobile staff raced against time to accelerate the joint debugging progress. At 19:00 on the same day, the fiber optic channel was restored to smooth operation; At 20:00, the signal of China Mobile's Surabaya super base station was restored, and local mobile phones that had been disconnected for three hours received an information prompt sound.
On the morning of June 19th, China Mobile used this base station as a springboard to connect with the Sishui base station in Pingyuan County, completing the mobile signal coverage of the entire town of Sishui.
It is understood that four townships in Dapu County, Meizhou were affected by the flood, with the highest water depth reaching 3 meters and a large number of electrical equipment damaged. Southern Power Grid Guangdong Meizhou Dapu Power Supply Bureau Chayang Power Supply Station urgently dispatched new equipment and carried out overnight repair operations. At 1:16 am on June 19th, nearly 30000 public transformer users affected by floods and power outages in Dapu County were restored to power.
This time, Guangdong Power Grid has mobilized a repair team of nearly a thousand people to support the disaster relief and power restoration in Meizhou, and has invested many new disaster relief tools, including lighting drones, heavy-duty drones, smart helmets, self-organized network control balls, portable satellite signal base stations, etc.
