1. Prohibited operation

1) Continuous and fast switching power switch is strictly prohibited

After turning off the power switch on the front panel, if you want to turn on the power switch again, be sure to turn off the power switch for a few seconds or more. Do not switch on and off the power switch repeatedly and frequently. If you do so, the protection device of the instrument may not properly perform the protection function; when the tester is testing the high voltage, please do not turn off the power switch unless it can be performed in an emergency.

2) Do not short the high voltage output to the ground

Take special care not to short circuit the high-voltage test line of the tester with the nearby AC power line connected to the ground or the nearby electrical equipment. If there is a short circuit, the enclosure of the tester may be full of high voltage, which is very dangerous. Ensure that the protective grounding terminal of the instrument is connected with a safe and reliable way. If the grounding terminal of the instrument is safely and reliably connected together, even if the high-voltage output terminal and the current return terminal are short circuited, the instrument will not be dangerous and the shell will not have high voltage.

3) Do not use external voltage

Do not apply the high voltage generated by the external device to the high voltage output port of the tester. Because the voltmeter inside the instrument cannot be used as a separate voltmeter. External voltage may damage the voltmeter.

2. Emergency handling

In case of emergency (occurrence of electric shock accident or burning of tested body), the following operations must be taken; ① or ② can be completed first, but both must be completed.

① Turn off the power switch of the instrument;

② Unplug the power cord of the instrument from the power outlet.

3. Precautions during the test

1) Wear insulating gloves to prevent electric shock

In order to prevent the occurrence of electric shock, before using the tester, please wear insulated rubber gloves before engaging in the work related to electricity.

2) Connect the test line to the current measuring terminal

Connect the test line to the current measurement end. When the tester is in use, it must be checked whether the test line is properly connected, loose or falling off at any time. If you want to connect the test object with the test line, please connect the test line of the current measurement end to the object to be tested first. It is very dangerous if the test line at the current measuring end is not complete or falls off. Because the whole object to be tested may be filled with high voltage.

3) Connect the test line to the high voltage output terminal

When connecting the test line of the current measuring end, connect the high-voltage output line according to the following procedures:

① Press the "stop" key first.

② Verify that the test light is not on.

③ Insert the high-voltage output line into the high-voltage output terminal.

4) Replace the object to be tested

When one object to be tested has been tested and another object to be tested has been replaced, please confirm:

① The tester is in "reset" state.

② The high voltage indicator does not flash.

③ The voltage display window shows that the number is not bouncing.

Warning: when replacing the body to be tested, please do not touch the high-pressure probe by hand!

5) Tester in test state

When the tester is in the test state, the test line, the object to be tested, the test probe and the output terminal all have high voltage, please do not touch.

Note: do not touch the alligator clip on the test line with your hand, because when the host is testing, there is high voltage on the test line, the insulation on the alligator clip is not high, and touching will cause electric shock.

6) Test termination

When the test is over and does not need to be used, or when the tester is no longer in use, or when it needs to leave in use, please make sure that the power switch is in the off position.

7) Confirmation after test

At any time, touch the high-voltage line, the tested body or the high-voltage output terminal by hand, please confirm:

① The power switch is off and the display is not on.

② When it is used for insulation test or DC test, there may be high voltage after the tested body is tested. After the power switch is turned off, it will take a period of time to discharge completely. Therefore, please do not touch any place that may cause electric shock immediately after the test.
